Margie Ree Boatman, 93 years old, a recent resident of D'Iberville, MS, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 3, 2021. She entered this world on December 26, 1927, born to Joseph and Lilly Mitchell, in Ackerman, MS. Margie was one of 11 siblings. She was a loving mother to two children, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading and quilting. She was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Church of Baker, LA.

Margie is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Boatman Beck; four grandchildren, Brynn Stensrud, Sherri Penny, Tanya Guillory, and Deborah Earnest; eight great-grandchildren; Jacob and Cade Stensrud, Cameron, Joshua, and Lauren Penny, Perry and Troy Guillory, and Chelsey Earnest McAllister; one great great-grandchild, Bobby Dean; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Bailey Boatman; father, Joseph Mitchell; mother, Lilly Mae Wells Mitchell; son, George Marion Boatman; grandchild, Sandy Renee Boatman; 10 brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Saturday, February 6, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Arnold Austin. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
