Jerry Brasseaux

Jerry F. Brasseaux, 92 years old, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 31, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on August 9, 1930, born to Artelus Fontenot and Beatrice Ortego Fontenot, in Grand Prairie, LA. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and a former member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Jerry and her husband, Charles R. Brasseaux, Sr. loved family gatherings, cruising, and enjoying life together. She retired after 30 years having served as an Estee Lauder representative for D.H. Holmes and Dillards. After her husband passed away in 1998, she remained independent and traveled throughout the United States and internationally.

Jerry is survived by her daughters, Vickie Bayham and husband, Ronald and Madeline Holder and husband, James; son, Charles Brasseaux, Jr. and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Joshua and Lucas Holder, Monique Barras, Marlo Bayham, Kasey Ford, Adam Brasseaux, and Cory Brasseaux; 12 great-grandchildren; her "family" of friends at The Greens at Pelican Point; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jerry is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles R. Brasseaux, Sr.; her parents; and 10 siblings.

Serving as pallbearers will be her family.

A special thanks to The Carpenter House for the love and care they showed our Mother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Carpenter House.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Monday, February 06, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Deacon Tommy Benoit. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
