Evelyn Kimball Acosta

Evelyn Elaine Kimball Acosta, 76 years old, beloved Mother, Sister, and Aunt, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on July 10, 1946, born to Shirley Grady Kimball and Oliver Kimball, in Simmesport, LA. She retired from the Office of Motor Vehicles after 42 years of service.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Clifton Ray Acosta; daughter, Robyn Temple and husband Rusty; soon to be grandson, Lorenzo Michael Temple; siblings, Barbara Dupont and husband Leslie, Janice Turner and husband Joe; sister-in-law, Carmen Acosta McGrew; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Michael Acosta; her parents, Oliver and Shirley Kimball; and nephew, Leslie Mark Dupont, Jr.
Serving as pallbearers will be nephews and other family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Wednesday, March 08, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Latanache Baptist Church, 11520 LA Hwy 417 Batchelor Louisiana, on Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Bro. Davy Kelone. The graveside service and burial will follow at the church cemetery immediately following.
