Dorothy “Dot” Estess

Dorothy "Dot" Ann Mullen Estess, 80 years old, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on September 17, 1942, born to Nell and Samuel Mullen and a native of Maringouin, LA. She was a long-time member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Dot is survived by her daughters, Cindy Crumholt Burns (Jerry), Susan Kelly Crumholt, Julie Kristine Crumholt, and her fur baby daughter, Nellie; she was affectionally known as Nana to her 8 loving grandchildren, Ashley Thompson, Tara Burns, Chad Dunn (Cari), Jerrit Burns (Kristi), Alex Lemoine, Miranda Brady (Patrick), Taylor Hubert (Heidi), and Drew Hubert; and her 6 loving great-grandchildren, Cameron and Tatum Burns, Henry and Kincade Dunn, Malayna and Gracelynn Brady; sister, Larry Mullen Blanchard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dot is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Nell Mullen; husband, Kinzy "K.V." Vardaman Estess, Jr.; brothers, Pat Mullen, Jimmy Mullen and Buddy Mullen; sisters, Betty Gibbs, Francis Meadors, Gloria Beran and Jeanette Perry.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Hubert, Drew Hubert, Alex Lemoine, Chad Dunn, Cameron Burns, and Clark Wells.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Larry Hubbard. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
