Donna Mcqueary

Donna Gail McQueary, 60 years old, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 30, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on April 4, 1960, born to Mary Lofton and George Johns, in Arcadia, CA. Donna was most known as “MawMaw Donna“, for her love for her family and most of all her beloved grandkids.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Edward McQueary; daughter, Deanna McQueary; son, Jason Cedotal; 14 grandchildren, Mikelynn Cedotal, Nicholas Cedotal, De’Liyah Taylor, Jovonnie Thomas, Johnny Thomas Jr, Jaylinn Lambert, Jay’Ace Lambert, Ja’Nayah Lambert, Jolie Lambert, Shannon McQueary, Eddie Lee McQueary, Linkin Tarver, Caleb McQueary, and Austin McQueary; 4 great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Whittington, Aubri Hensley, Hazel McQueary, and Brayla Hensley; mother, Mary Posey; 2 step-sons, Edward McQueary and Christopher McQueary; 2 brothers, George Johns and Jerry Netherland; 2 sisters, Hilda Heard and Candy Johns; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded in death by her father, George A. Johns; daughter, Shantel Lambert; and sister, Vivian Fresina.

Serving as pallbearers will be Edward W. McQueary, Coby Nevels, Jorden Sergent, Jeff Johns, Eron Boudreaux, and Jason Cedotal.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Thursday, June 4, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 p.m. The graveside service and burial will follow at Azalea Rest Cemetery, in Zachary, LA.
