David "Dave" Telhiard, Sr.

David B. Telhiard, Sr. a resident of Pride, LA was born on December 21, 1935, in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and went home to his eternal Father on September 10, 2022. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1954. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Dave retired from the Carpenters Local #1098 to spend more time with his wife, family, and grandchildren. He enjoyed sharing his love for music and participated with a music group entertaining others at local nursing homes, retirement homes and senior citizen groups. David was the oldest of eleven children and was an amazing brother and father figure to them. He always had a smile and quick wit, a man of few words, powerful and strong but when he spoke up everyone listened. Dave maintained relationships with many lifelong friends. He was a role model for so many and touched everyone he met in a special way.

Survived by his wife of 53 years Lois Russell Telhiard, sons Scott (Vicki), Travis (Nicole), daughter Laura T. Smith and grandchildren Kayla & Grant Telhiard and Mason & Madison Smith. He is also survived by seven of his siblings: Deek Telhiard, Sandra Zalimeni, John Telhiard, Tom Telhiard, Yvette Clifton, Eunice Hartley, and Rick Telhiard.

Preceded in death by his parents David and Eunice Telhiard, siblings Bruce Telhiard, Susan Telhiard & Linda Lauzon, son David B. Telhiard Jr. and grandson Greg Johnston, Jr.
