Claudet Dupuy

Claudet "Det" Jolibois Dupuy, 82 years old, resident of Slaughter, LA, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 29, 2022. She entered this world on February 14, 1940, born to Julia and Stafford Jolibois, in Cottonport, LA. She was a member of Lighthouse Church, of Zachary. She enjoyed quilting, reading, cooking and loved going on outings with her family.

Claudet is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda H. Landry (Kevin) and Donna H. Russell (Samuel); one son, James Alfred Rabalais, Jr. (Janel), two step-daughters, Susan Eppinett (John) and Betsy Dupuy; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Jolibois Douglas (Donald); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Claudet is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore "Ted" Dupuy, Jr; father, Stafford Jolibois; mother, Julia Deshotel Jolibois; three brothers, Cedo Jolibois, Euna Jolibois, and Lloyd Jolibois; and two sisters, Velma Walton and Viola Sturges.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, 70714 on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 9:30 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:30 AM, officiated by Brother Matt Hays. The graveside service and burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery, in Zachary, Louisiana.
