Clara Campbell

Clara Louella Foresyth Tune Campbell, a native of Baton Rouge, entered into eternal rest on October 26, 2022. Born the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Clara Foresyth on December 14, 1932. She was preceded in death by husbands, Newman Jesse Tune and Edward A.D. Campbell. The oldest of seven, she was preceded in death by brothers Robert Foresyth, Richard Foresyth, Kenneth Foresyth, Charles "Sonnie" Forsythe and a sister, Gennie Lee Foresyth. She is survived by one brother, David (and Linda) Foresyth of Missouri.

Clara was totally devoted to her family and is survived by three daughters, Sarah Pratt (and the late George Pratt) of Inola, OK, Becky (and Keith) Roberts of Baker, LA, and Lee Ann (and Phillip) Goodwin of Baton Rouge, LA, and one son, Charles (and Jonell) Tune of Senath, MO. She was preceded in death by daughter, Clara Denise Tune. Other survivors include numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Formerly the head cook at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary, LA, during the 70's and 80's, Clara was well known for her famous homemade "cat head biscuits", chicken and dumplings, and yeast rolls, just to name a few! People would come to Lane from miles away just to eat her delicious homemade foods. Always a huge smile on her face, Clara never met a stranger. She loved her fur-babies, Honey and Noelle, and is now happily reunited at the Rainbow Bridge with many past beloved pets. Her favorite pastime was sitting in her recliner and watching the birds and chipmunks outside her door as they played and fed from the birdfeeder. She loved her plants and gardening.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, George Pratt, Jr., James Fisher, Jr., Zachary Goodwin, great grandson, Brennan Fisher, grandson-in-law, Maney Hammond, and family friend, Trent Carpenter.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Roger May. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.

A special thank you to the many health care personnel that entered Clara's life in the past two years to assist with her care - she loved all of you! Clara will be dearly missed but the knowledge that she has reunited with her loved ones that passed before her brings a smile to the faces of those dearly missing her on this earth. Heaven gained a truly beautiful angel with a huge heart!
