Charlie Galloway Smith, Sr., was called for SUPPERTIME by his Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST on January 27, 2021. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and soon to be GreatGrandfather.
He was born on April 30, 1926 to Ara and William Smith, in Baton Rouge, La. Charlie honorably and proudly served his country in the United States Army, during WWII.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Geraldine Morgan Smith, a son Charlie G. Smith, Jr and wife, Sonja, a daughter, Rhonda P. Smith, grandsons Benjamin Cody Smith and wife, Brittany, Chase Hunter Smith and wife, Hope and soon to be Great Grandchild, Baby Smith. Four ladies, whom he cherished and loved like daughters, with all of his heart, Debra Waller, Ruth Thompson, Tootie Smith and Jackie White. He also leaves behind many loving family members and friends, who will miss him dearly.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, William Frank Smith and Ara Elizabeth Galloway Smith and his in-laws, James Murphy Morgan and Lora Mabel Lambert Morgan, a son, Randall Lamont Smith, a brother and 3 sisters, 5 brother in laws and 4 sister in laws.
Pallbearers will be Carl Allred, Tod Morgan, Phillip Morgan, Harlon Alford, Cory Smith and Mike Prather.
Honorary Pallbearers are Wren Waller, David Alford, Al King and all of his nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Saturday, January 30, 2021, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Fred Day. The graveside service with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
