Charles Fontenot

Charles (Chuck) Wayne Fontenot, 78 years old, was called to his eternal resting place while at home surrounded by his loved ones on August 2, 2022. He entered this world on October 22, 1943, in Baton Rouge, LA, born to Paul and Mary Fontenot as their 5th child. Charles served in the United States Air Force from 1961 - 1965. While serving in the United States Air Force, Charles (Chuck) married his wife, Constance (Connie), in Irving, Texas, in 1963. He was an Airman First Class upon the completion of his enlistment. Charles (Chuck) was a Baker Volunteer Fire Department member, a Past President of the Louisiana State Firemen's Association from 1982-1983, and a Mason. Charles (Chuck) worked all over the United States as a self-employed Contract Engineer. He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Baker and Crosby United Methodist Church.

Charles (Chuck) is survived by his loving wife, Constance (Connie) Dale Fontenot; Children: Paul Victor Fontenot, II; Hope Fontenot-Morris, husband Scott; Sean Russel Fontenot, wife Melanie; and April Fontenot Daigrepont, husband Michael; grandchildren; Victor, Cooper, Audrey, Izzy, and KK Fontenot; Sydney, Skyler, and Stone Morris; Eileen and Spencer Fontenot; and Justin and Adam Talbot. Great Grandchildren; Lain, Archer, Bennett, and Lucas Fontenot; Sister-in-Law Starr Fontenot, two sisters, E. Gayle Coates, husband Ray; Dorris L. Parker, husband Warren; and brother, Robert V. Fontenot, wife Glenda; and numerous nieces and nephews. Extended loved ones include Lillian Barber, Aimee Fontenot, and Cinde Crump.

Charles (Chuck) is preceded in death by his father, Paul Victor Fontenot, I, mother, Mary Adelia Redden Fontenot, and brother, William "Bill" Fontenot.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 9:30 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM, officiated by his daughter-in-law, Melanie Fontenot - Lay Pastor. The graveside service with Military Honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, LA. The reception will follow at 11333 Juban Parc Ave, Denham Springs, LA.
