Billy Morace

Billy Roy Morace Sr., 86 years old, passed from his earthly home, on May 8, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He entered this world on August 19, 1934, born to Bill and Inez Morace, in New Era, LA. He was a member of Baker Masonic Lodge #441, Istrouma Chapter #92 R.A.M., Istrouma Council #33 C.M., Knights Templar Istrouma Commandery #28, the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, S.J., USA, and the Acacia Temple of Baton Rouge.

Billy is survived by his sister, Millie Bump of Jonesville, Louisiana; his daughters, Irma Noack of Gainesville, Georgia, and Beverly Guillory of Albany, Louisiana; four sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Jan Morace of Leeds, Alabama, Johnny and Sherrie Morace of Hempstead, Texas, Jimmy and Melva Morace of Zapata, Texas, and Charles "Buddy" Leggett of Gonzalez, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jennifer (Charles) Gregory, Ericka Cleary; Joseph W (Aledia) Morace; Kristy Hooper; Kelsey (Kevin) Power; Jonathon "Bret" (Alexandra) Morace, Billy R Morace III, Scottie Guillory, Chris Gillory, Bryan Leggett, Dylan Leggett, Joseph Leggett, Crystal Landry, Heather Davila, Samantha Morace and Sabrina Lamendola; as well as twenty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Hutto Morace; parents, Bill and Inez Bryan Morace; sisters, Irma Strong and Vera Brouliette; and grandchildren, Danielle Leigh Morace and Stefanie Elisabeth Morace.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph W. Morace, Jonathon "Bret" Morace, Billy R. Morace III, Kevin J. Power, Andy Bryan, and James Corkern.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Louisiana on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Reverend Robbie Strong. The burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, Louisiana.
