Betty Jean Mauldin, 90 years old, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on April 8, 1931, born to Bertha and Evigan Stokley, in Demopolis, AL. She was a faithful member of New Beginnings Church of God in Baker, LA. She was the complete picture of Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. She was a faithful and loyal prayer warrior who loved spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Amy Mauldin; grand-dog, Izzi Mauldin; brother, Herman Stokley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Timothy "Tim" C. Mauldin, Jr.; parents, Evigan and Bertha Stokley; son, James Timothy "Timmie" Mauldin; brothers, W.E. Stokley and Milton Stokley; and a sister, Christine Phillips.
Serving as pallbearers will be Daryl Phillips, Ricky Stokley, Chris Stokley, Mark Miller, Ronnie Oneal, and Dylan May. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Stokley, Keith Stokley, Brian Stokley, Craig Stokley, and Dalton May.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at New Beginnings Church of God, 1124 Georgia St., on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at the church on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Ray Abbott and Reverend Debbie Cummings. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
