Augusta "Stan" Stanley Easley, 73 years old, beloved Husband, Father, Paw Paw, and Great-Paw Paw was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 18, 2022. He entered this world on June 13, 1948, born to Ethel Frost Easley and Thomas Carl Easley, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a member of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, and Associate to the worship leader. He retired because of his health December 31, 2021. He was a very talented bassist, but very humble about his talents. He praised his Savior through his music and through the life he lived. Stan was a graduate of LSU and later from the Police Academy. He retired after 25 years of service from Baker Police Department in 1998.
Stan is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Katie Coates Easley; sons, Thomas Jason Easley and wife, Amy, and Chad Lamar Easley; daughter, Wendy Easley Watts and husband, David; grandchildren, Emery Grace Easley, David Cade Watts, Claire Anne Easley Brown and husband, Elijah, Katie Marie Watts, and Lauren Adelle Easley; and great-grandson, Azariah Josiah Brown.
Stan is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Easley; and mother, Ethel Easley.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Easley, Chad Easley, David Watts, Cade Watts, Ralph Smith, Brett Schexnayder, Kirk Schiefelbein, and Jeremy Dailey.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, 19421 Greenwell Springs Rd, on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, 19421 Greenwell Springs Rd, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, officiated by Brother George Threeton. The graveside service and burial will follow at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana.
