William Hamilton

William Sanders Hamilton, 78, beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on June 2, 2016. He entered this world on December 8, 1937. He enjoyed time with his grandkids, camping, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends. He was an artist and once had a painting displayed in The Houston Gallery. He proudly served in the US Navy as a search and rescue medic.

William is survived by a step-son, Billy Truett and wife Dana of Central; daughter, Leslie H. Durr of Baker; 5 grandchildren, Branden Durr, Taylor Durr, Brenna Truett, Cody Durr, and Aaron Truett.

He is preceded in death by his wonderful wife of 33 years, Betty Louise Clark Hamilton and parents, Walter and Mildred McDonald Hamilton.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker on Monday, June 6 from 9:30am until the Celebration of Life at 1:00pm. The burial will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery.
