Violet Austin

Violet Austin, 59, beloved Mother and Grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on July 9, 2016. She entered this world on June 21, 1957 in Baton Rouge, LA, born to Margaret and Conrad Dauthier, Sr.

She is survived by three daughters Amber Austin Guidry (Jeremy), Rachel Austin Johnson and Megan Austin Graham, son; Josh Austin (Brandi), nine grandchildren; Brian Guidry, Adrianna Austin, Brice Guidry, Clayton Johnson, Bailey Mitchell, Payton Johnson, Dayton Johnson, Caden Austin and Nathan Johnson; three sisters, Sherry Dauthier Jeter, Margaret Fitzgerald Thorton and Yvonne Fitzgerald Boe; mother-in-law, Naomi Joyce Austin; sister-in-law, Joni Christiansen; brother-in-laws, Mantle Austin (Lynda) and Mark Austin (Julie) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by husband, Marshall Austin; her parents; six brothers, Conrad Dauthier Jr., Don Dauthier, Chuck Fitzgerald, Richard Fitzgerald, Adam "Sonny" Fitzgerald and Skippy Fitzgerald; and sister, Susan Dauthier Graham.

Pallbearers will be Mantle Austin, Mark Austin, Reggie Pelt, Brian Guidry, Clayton Johnson, David Garner and Shane Christiansen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy Guidry, Joe McGraw, Darryl Zachary, Jimmy Hammers, Brice Guidry and Payton Johnson.

The family request visitation held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, 22834 Liberty Rd, Pride from 1:00pm to 3:00pm followed by a memorial service officiated by Rev. Danny Gregg. Interment will take place at Milldale Baptist Church Cemetery in Pride.
