Verna Patin

Verna Mae Domingue Patin

A resident of Lafayette, and a former longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Verna passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014, 2014 at Magnolia Estates Nursing Home. She was 89, and a native of Scott, LA.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, July 21, from 10am until religious services in chapel at 1pm. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.

Verna is survived by a daughter, Linda Jones and husband Jimmy a son, Lynwood Patin and wife Lou Ann seven grandchildren, Krista Mancuso, Jan Shelton and husband Steve, Traci Andes and husband Jamie, Parnell Jones and wife Erin, Ian Patin and wife Amy, Cody Patin, and Jamie Catobius and wife Brenda 11 great grandchildren, Layne Shelton, Collin Shelton, Payton Lee, Maxim Joseph Mancuso, Brady Jones, Austin Duhon, Kadeyn Patin, Haylie Smith, Jaycie Smith, Leslie Cantu and Liana Cantu and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alcide Patin parents, Leonce and Pelagie Domingue two sisters, Dorothy Leteff and Evelyn Hoffpauir and four brothers, Clarence, Johnny, Leroy and Chester Domingue.

She bequeaths to us a shining example of love and discipleship. Though greatly missed, she will remain alive forever in our hearts.
