Velma Boyd

Velma B. Boyd, age 99, passed away December 13, 2022. She was a beloved wife and homemaker who will be missed.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, James Larry Boyd (Phyllis) of Riverside, CA; sister-in-law, Verna St. Amant (Eugene) of Cypress, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William J. Boyd; her parents, Geriald and Camille Bell; two brothers, Arthur Bell and Weldon Bell; six sisters-in-law; and four brothers-in-law.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1120 Myrtle Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, with a Rosary Service at 10:30 AM and Mass at 11:00 AM conducted by Reverend Edward Chiffriller. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Special thanks to the staff at PACE of Baton Rouge and St. Clare Manor, and the various medical personnel who attended her needs with compassion and professionalism.
