Valerie Mayberry

Valerie Dawn Mayberry, age 53, a resident of Pride, LA passed away on January 21, 2019. She was a very selfless person, cared more for others than herself and always helping someone. Her favorite moments were spent with her family at get togethers. She had a strong faith and believed in the saving power of God.

Valerie is survived by her husband, Troy Mayberry; three children, Kimberly Wascom and husband Michael, Alan Cline, Jr., Kristy Pederson and husband Shawn; step-son, Brandon Golson; nine grandchildren, Joshua "JD", Brentlyn, Kadyn, Charles, Rebecca, Michael, Casey, JR and Jace; mother and stepfather, Judith and Henry Schepens; her "pop" and stepmother, Todd and Elizabeth Keller; eight sisters, Patricia Mulkey, Debra Jones, Mary Presley, Angela Brown, Barbie Murphy, Ginger Ivy, Jackie Greene and Tara Ardoin and three brothers, Mel Quin, Robert Shoemake and Billy Ardoin.

Valerie is preceded in death by her father, William Jones; mother and father-in-law, Ray and Jeanie Mayberry.

Pallbearers will be Troy, Bubba, Michael, Todd, Shawn, Cliff and Dale.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Miracle Place Church, 2080 Main Street, Baker, LA, on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The visitation will continue at the church on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Bishop Ricky Sinclair. The graveside service and burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge.
