Timothy "Tim" Wayne Casey, 70, a devoted husband, father, and Pawpaw, was called home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 5, 2025. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family who had been his greatest joy in life. Born on September 9, 1954, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Barbara and Eugene Casey, Timothy proudly served his country as an Aviation Ordnanceman Airman in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal in recognition of his sacrifice and dedication.
An avid fisherman, Timothy found peace and joy on the water, and he had a remarkable gift for working with his hands. Whether through woodworking or creating intricate paracord artistry, he poured patience, creativity, and care into everything he made.
Above all else, Timothy's heart belonged to his family. He shared many years of love and laughter with his wife, Patricia Casey. He was a proud father to his sons, Timothy E. Casey (Brynne), John Popps, and his daughters, Crystal Casey, Barbara Casey (Jason), and Samantha Hope (Michael). Nothing brought him more joy than being "Pawpaw" to his grandchildren - Devin (Jennifer), Kirsten, Patricia "Gracie", Dara, Levi - and his great-grandchildren, Allison and Kimberly. His love and pride for them knew no bounds.
Timothy is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Barbara Fitzgerald Casey, and his sister, Brenda "Beep" Casey. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing he has been joyfully reunited with them in Heaven.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Timothy E. Casey, Devin Casey, John Popps, Tony Casey, Steve Cupit, and Shelby Cole. Together, they will carry him to his place of rest with love and respect.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Timothy's life at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Louisiana, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Brother Rickey Howell Sr. The graveside services with full military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, Louisiana, in recognition of his proud service as a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
