Thomas John Ford

Tom was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington, LA, resulting from heart complications. He was 54, born in Baton Rouge, LA, and was a graduate of Baker High School.

He was a welder/fitter at Trinity Marine in Madisonville, LA, and longtime member of Local 198. Tom was a humble soul with a generous spirit, and he was loved deeply by his family, friends, and the Baton Rouge Filipino community.

Tom is survived by his nephew and nieces, Christopher W. Ford, Amanda Ford Ellis, Melinda "Mindy" Toups, and Madeline Ford.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Ford; and his parents, James and Audrey Ford.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker, LA, on Friday January 23, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and will resume on Saturday, January 24, from 10:00am until religious services in the chapel at 1:00pm, conducted by Pastor Bill Umstetter.
