Thomas Blue

Thomas Porter Blue, 85 years old, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 22, 2023. He entered this world on April 14, 1938, born to Violet and Porter Blue, in New Orleans, LA. He was a member of Wilson Community Church. He retired from the Baton Rouge Fire Department after 24 years in 1988.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Frances Ross Blue; son, Lyman Moon; granddaughter, Melissa Still and husband, Donnie; great granddaughter, Whitney Still; and foster brother, Percy Bankston.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Porter and Violet Blue; and numerous siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM officiated by Brother Joe Ratcliff.
