Thomas Bartlett

Thomas R. Bartlett, 82, a native of Kemper County, MS and resident of Greenwell Springs, LA passed away on July 09, 2015 with his loving wife by his side.

Thomas served in the US Army for 24 years, retiring as a First Sergeant. While serving in the US Army, Thomas received the following medals, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Meritorious Service Medal. After retiring from the US Army, Thomas work another 17 years with the Baton Rouge Metro Airport.

Thomas is served by his loving wife of 45 years Jeanelle "Vicki" Bartlett; brother, Albert Bartlett (Meridian, MS); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thomas is preceded by his parents, William and Mae Bartlett; 2 brothers, Alsmith and J.H. Bartlett; and 2 nephews.

Family request visiting hours to be observed on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 4pm to 6pm at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd, Baker, LA. A Graveside Service will be held at 10am on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, LA.

In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517,Topeka, Kansas 66675, in memory of Thomas R. Bartlett.
