Rebecca Jane Tomlinson

A resident of Baker, Jane passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. She was 73, born March 14, 1942 in Gloversville, New York. She was the first child of Rebecca Mary Chambers and Fredrick Henry Tomlinson. She loved books and was an avid reader. She had a great sense of humor.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, April 17, from 5-8pm, and on Saturday, April 18, from 11am until religious services in the chapel at 12pm, conducted by Marlo Jensen. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.

Jane is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Tomlinson Harris and husband, Lowell Harris of American Fork, UT, and Carol Tomlinson Clark and husband, Ruben Clark of Baker; and 12 nieces and nephews. She was also an aunt to 30 beloved great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her mother and father, and a brother, all from New York; two nieces, and a nephew.

Jane loved puppies, and always had a one. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She traveled to Ireland in 1963 to serve as a missionary for our Heavenly Father for 18 months.

Special thanks to the nurses and aides at Lane Regional Medical Center and Grace Nursing Home for the loving care given to Jane.
