Reba Humphries, 80 years old, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on April 18, 1943, born to Reba and Miller Hendrick, in Jacksonville, TX. She worked 26 years for the State of Louisiana in the Department of Agriculture and Forestry and she worked as a Voting Commissioner in the City of Baker for 15 years and East Feliciana Parish for 5 years. She enjoyed fishing at her camp on Old River with family and friends. She was known for the many flowers and vegetable gardens she planted. It brought her much joy to share the fruits of her labor with anyone she could bless.
Reba is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Lloyd 'Bernie' Humphries, Jr.; daughters, Tammy Randall (Ken), Terri Creel (Bobby); 4 grandchildren, Glenn Randall (Raelin), Brittany Crow (Chris), Natalie Creel and Matthew Creel; 4 great-grandchildren, Sophia and Daniel Randall and Levi and Addie Crow; brother, Leroy Hendrick; sister, Patsy Hendrick; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Reba is preceded in death by her father, Miller L. Hendrick; mother, Reba P. Killion; and brother, Rodney Hendrick.
Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Randall, Matthew Creel, Chris Crow, Neal Hendrick, Robbie D'Amico, Hunter Hendrick, Harold Cambre, Richard Brister, and Ian D'Amico.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service 12:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Butch Taylor. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
