Peggy Jo Kimble Hogan, a radiant soul whose life was a testament to faith, devotion, and unconditional love, peacefully entered the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 13, 2026. At 80 years old, she passed away surrounded by the warmth and comfort of her deeply loving family, leaving behind a legacy of grace that will forever echo in their hearts.

Born on January 29, 1946, in the close-knit community of Simmesport, Louisiana, Peggy brought immense joy to the world from the very beginning. She was the cherished daughter of Margaret and Tony Kimble, who raised her with the foundational values of family and kindness that defined her entire life.

Peggy was the bedrock of her home. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she poured her heart into creating a sanctuary filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support. Her gentle spirit, wisdom, and selfless nature guided her household through every season of life.

Peggy is survived by her son, Chance Melancon (Kammy); 3 grandchildren, Ashlye Hutchinson Gross (Brandon), Kelsey Hutchinson Brown (Oliver), and Madyson Morris; 3 great-grandchildren, Alexis Delhommer, Locke Brown and Kolson Brown.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert "Jim Bob" Hogan; father, Tony Hasting Kimble; mother, Margaret Mae Ryland Kimble; son, Sedgie Frank "Fuzzy" Melancon, Jr.; daughter, Kellye Jo Melancon Hutchinson; brother, Tony Lynn Kimble; and sister, Myrtle Ann "Punkin" Pate.

A private family service will be held on a later date. The burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
