Oneil Dugas

Oneil Joseph Dugas, 98, and a resident of Baker, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 22, 2017. Oneil was born in Morganza, LA on December 2, 1918 to Leonce and Armelise Dugas. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and served his country in the U.S. Army.

Oneil is survived by his son, Timothy Neal Dugas and wife Ida of Baker; daughter, Jennifer Ann Dugas, of Baton Rouge; 3 grandchildren, Jeffery Neal Dugas (Penny), Timi Marie White, and Kristi Lynn Lynch (Patrick); 7 great-grandchildren, Gabriel Dugas, Hunter White, Ali White, Cami White, Kaydi Vance, Raven Haynsworth, and Aidan Lynch; and 1 step-great-grandson, Ethan Lynch. He is also survived by 1 brother, Thomas Dugas.

Oneil is preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernice Tourere Dugas; parents, Leonce and Armelise Dugas; 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road., Baton Rouge, LA, 70811, on Friday, March 24, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Father Frank Bass. The graveside service will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
