Maxie Payne Riles

A resident of Baker, Maxie passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Grace Nursing Home. She was 92, and a native of Washington Parish, LA.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, August 20, from 58pm, and on Thursday, August 21, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Bud Traylor. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Maxie is survived by a daughter and soninlaw, Norma and Kenneth Thibodeaux five sons and daughtersinlaw, Jerry Retus and Candace Riles, Gary Robert and JoAnn Riles, Earl Walter and Ethel Riles, Michael Wayne and Michelle Riles, and Bobby Raymond and Cheryl Riles 21 grandchildren and numerous great and greatgreat grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Retus R. Riles two brothers, and four sisters.

Pallbearers are Allan Petersen, Garrett Riles, Todd Thibodeaux, Keith Riles, Chad Riles, Mike Riles, Jr., Mark Riles, Tony Riles, and Little Allan. Maxie was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church.

Maxie loved gardening and canning. She was a wonderful cook, known for her chicken and dumplings. She will be deeply missed.
