Mary Juanita Pinell
A resident of Baker, Juanita passed away at 3:00am on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. She was 89, and a native of Pride.
Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, Nov. 28, from 59pm, and on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11:00am, conducted by Deacon Shelly Joseph. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Juanita is survived by husband, Ulysses Pinell daughter and soninlaw, Vickie and Ray Thomassie son and daughterinlaw, Reggie and Joyce Smith two sisters, Callie Ashford and Margurite Phillips five grandchildren, Rick Smith, Brent Smith, Jason Smith, Lacey Erbe, and Marcy Thomassie and three greatgrandchildren, Kayla, Derrick, and Logan Smith.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Smith two brothers, Maurice Manning and James Jake Manning and her parents, Allie and Edna Elizabeth Manning.
Pallbearers are Jason, Brent, Logan, Derrick, and Rick Smith, and David Ashford.
Juanita retired from Gordons Jewelers in 1974. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, Council 4085. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice, who took such good care of Juanita.
