Marie Mcclendon

Marie Molliere McClendon, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 29, 2017 at her residence in Gonzales, LA. Marie was born to C.J. Molliere and Elinda Plaisance on August 9, 1933 in Morganza, Louisiana. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, and friend who loved catching up and having a conversation over a cup of coffee. She enjoyed spending her free time crocheting and working in her yard.

Marie is survived by her son, Freddie McClendon, Sr. and wife Sandra; grandsons, Brandon McClendon & Darryl Cleveland Jr.; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Molliere and wife Carolyn; and her sister-in-law, Agnes Molliere.

Marie is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Marshall McClendon; father, C.J. Molliere; mother, Elida Plaisance Fredric; grandson, Joey McClendon; brothers, R.L. Molliere, Robert Molliere, and Rubin Molliere.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1022 N. Burnside Ave, Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. The graveside service will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, 604 E. Highway 30, Gonzales, LA.
