Lynn Chauvin

Lynn Noah Chauvin, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2015 surrounded by his family.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, as well as honorary "Paw Paw" to many. He was a long-time resident of Baker, LA, who grew up in Rosedale, LA. He was a veteran, who served during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star for serving as Technical Sergeant in the Air Corp.

He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Chauvin Eichelberger (husband Anthony); grandchildren, Mary Alice Stanford (husband Scott), Lionel Smith, III (wife Betty), and Joni Rushing (husband Larry Gene); great grandchildren, Travis and Eric Stanford, Dean, Paige, and Bobby Smith, Cameron and Connor Rushing; great great grandchild, Evelyn Smith; sister, Beatrice Young; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Guillot Chauvin; his parents, Howard and Georgina David Chauvin; brothers, Lance and Howard Chauvin; and sisters, Amelia Holland, Beradine Achee, and Leola Riche.

Family request visiting hours to be observed on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd. Baker, LA 70714. Visiting hours will resume on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70811 from 9 to 10 am with a Mass of Christian Burial following visitation.

Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
