Luther "Luke" Thompson, Jr.

Luther "Luke" Lee Thompson Jr, 91 years old, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 12, 2019. He entered this world on January 8, 1928, born to Gladys and Luther Sr, in Hammond, LA. He had a love for blue grass music and was a lifelong musician, loved playing with his children.

Luke is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jeanette Thompson; 4 sons, Gary Thompson, Richard Brumfield and wife Teresa, Bret Brumfield and wife Rebecca and Robert Brumfield; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Luther is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers.

The family would like to thank Zachary Manor for the love and care they have showed to Luke over the last couple of months.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd, Baker, La. on Friday, June 14, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, La.
