Lee Royce Alexander

Lee Royce Alexander was born in Fryeburg, LA on March 31, 1920, the second child of eight children born to George Barney and Willie Mae Johnson Alexander.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, having served as an Aviation Machinist Mate First Class from August 1941 through October 1945.

Lee Royce is survived by his wife, Mildred Lester Alexander; two sons, Royce Kelvin Alexander, and Lee Mark Alexander (wife Judy Allen Alexander); grandchildren, Lee Ann and Joel Mark (wife Jessica); a brother, Fred Alexander; and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and six siblings.

Lee Royce was a member of Grace United Pentecostal Church of Central (formerly located on Groom Road in Baker). He never met a stranger and helped everyone that he could. We loved him, and he loved us.

Visiting will be held at Grace United Pentecostal Church of Central, 13845 Hooper Road, Central, on Tuesday, July 21, from 4pm-7pm. Funeral services will begin at 7pm, officiated by Pastor Glenn Murphy and Brother Joel Alexander. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 22, at 10:00am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.

Special thanks are extended to all the friends who prayed, visited, sent food, and offered help during this difficult time. We are especially grateful to the nurses and staff of Clarity Hospice for their care.

Baker Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. You may order flowers through this website.
