Larry Bellard

Larry Pierre Bellard, 68, native of Port Barre, LA, resident and Zachary, LA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2016. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was an avid hunter as he enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. He owned his own family plumbing business for 36 years.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce Vidrine Bellard; son, John Larry Bellard and wife Amanda; 2 daughters, Karen McKey and her husband Todd, and Laura Mires and husband Kenny; 5 grandchildren, Todd McKey II and wife Lauren, Derek McKey and wife Kristen, Lucien Weiss and fiancé Olivia, Monika Weiss and husband Michael Cato, and Bransen Bellard; great-grandchildren, Kenleigh, Avery, Abigail McKey, Vivienne Cato; step-great-grandchildren, Ruthann and Liam Mires; 2 brothers, David Bellard and Ronald Bellard; sister, Susan Clardy; and mother in-law, Ethel Faul Vidrine.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Noah Bellard, Jr. and Joyce Boudreaux Bellard; 2 sisters, Sally LaCombe and Charlene Bellard; brother, John Arthur Bellard; and father in-law, John Rodney Vidrine.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, December 30, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The visitation will continue at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 3824 Lee St, Zachary, LA, Saturday, December 31, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. The Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi will officiate the service.
