Kenneth Wilkewitz

Kenneth Gregory Wilkewitz, 68, beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, native of Sarver, PA and resident of Zachary, was called Home on Monday, August 15, 2016. He was a retiree of Xerox Corp. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of VFW, VVA, DAV and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Precilla Landry Wilkewitz; daughter, Jonette Valega (David); son, Justin Wilkewitz (Kelly); three grandchildren, Victoria Valega, Jude Wilkewitz and Luke Wilkewitz; great-grandchild, Carson Wade Harris; sister, Connie Wilkewitz Hardy (Steve); three brothers, Bob Wilkewitz, John Wilkewitz (Norma) and Joe Wilkewitz; sister-in-laws, Alice Deshotel (Carl), Joy Constance, and Delores Guillory (Mike); brother-in-law, Rennel Landry (Loretta) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Kenneth and Josephine Wilkewitz; mother-in-law, Elveryn Sonnier Landry, father-in-law, Harris Landry; brother-in-laws, Archie Landry and Donald Constance; sister-in-law, Joyce Wilkewitz and nephew, Bryan Constance.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, Friday, August 19, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a VFW Ritual at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 306 Ann Street, Lacassine, LA on August 20, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father Richard Vidrine. The Eulogy will be read by Corey Tullier during the service. The Rosary will be recited by St. Rapheal Catholic Daughters at 10:30 a.m. The graveside service and burial with follow at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church Cemetery in Lacassine, LA. A reception will follow at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Iowa/Woodlawn, LA.

Pallbearers will be Chad Deshotel, David Valega, Stevie Trosclair, Jamey Hardy, Garret Landry, Rickey Guillory and Jared Leblanc. Rick Fauver and Carroll Knot will serve as honorary pallbearers.
