Katherine Brown

Age 85 and a longtime resident of Baker, LA, went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 8, 2014 at 12:27 am. Geraldine was known as a selfless caring mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and sister. She was loved dearly by her family and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
Geraldine is survived by her 2 sons, David and Mary Kiki Brown of Pensacola, FL Alvin Roy and Debbie Brown of Redondo Beach, CA 2 daughters, Katherine and Bill Ashley of Mesquite, TX Cynthia and Chris Miller of Baker, LA 2 brothers, Alvin Alton Venable of Baton Rouge, LA and Harold Ray Smith of Greensburg, LA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, David B. Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the funeral service at the chapel of Baker Funeral Home on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 11:00 am until the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Pastor David Smith will officiate the service and internment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Garden Cemetery.
