Julius Donaldson

Julius Ray Donaldson passed in peace, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at the age of 85.

Ray is survived by his son and daughter in-law, Larry and Lisa Donaldson; daughter and son in-law, Carol and Craig Dugas; 8 grandchildren that brought him great joy, Bradley, Brian, and Brett Donaldson, Candice Savant and Clayton Dugas, Alicia Robbins, Jodie Spence and Sonny Lambert. He also shared that joy with his 19 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his twin sister Shirley Laporte.

Ray is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Margaret Ann Donaldson; daughter, Janet Lynn Donaldson; granddaughter, Britni Michelle Donaldson; parents, Joseph and Enola Donaldson; brothers, Alton and Calvin Donaldson.

Ray was a graduate of Istrouma High School and a member of Local 198 Pipefitters Union. He enjoyed watching the LSU Tigers and spending time with family and friends. Ray never met a stranger. He had a gentle, quiet and caring soul. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation at Baker Funeral Home in Baker, Louisiana on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the memorial service at 11:00 AM.
