Jonathan Johnson

Jonathan Neil Johnson passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the age of 37. He was born on June 27, 1986, in San Bernardino, CA, but grew up in Jackson, LA with his grandparents, Buddy and Ann Johnson. He was a 2004 graduate of Centerville Academy. Jonathan served in the US Air Force and spent his life serving his community as a paramedic, firefighter, police officer, correctional officer, and finally working for MAP (motorist assistance program) for DOTD.

Jonathan is survived by 4 beautiful daughters, Karsyn Jones, Kinslee, Baylee, and Jordyn Johnson; his grandmother, Ann M Johnson; his father, Terral D Johnson; a brother, James Robert Finch; and his uncle and aunt, Douglas and Tammy Johnson. He had 5 cousins that were more like siblings to him, Kenny (Tasha) Johnson, Kristen (Steve) Landry, Alaina Johnson, Joshuah (Abagail) Johnson, Zachary Johnson, and numerous other relatives.

Jonathan is preceded in death by his grandfather, Edwin E. "Buddy" Johnson and uncle, Jarrel N. Johnson.

Jonathan was an amazing father, who adored his girls. He spent endless hours creating special wooden keepsakes for his children, family, and friends. He built his girls a tree fort, climbing wall, and a swing set from scrap wood he would find. Jonathan always had a smile on his face and loved helping others. He was an avid outdoorsmen and hunter. Jonathan will forever be in our hearts and memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Louisiana, Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 PM officiated by Reverend Joe Nesom.
