John Mccann

John Edgar McCann, 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, was called to his eternal resting place on August 11, 2017 at his residence in Zachary, LA surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on August 28, 1947 in Baton Rouge, LA, born to Glenn, Sr. and Marie McCann. He enjoyed the outdoors as he gardened, fished, and hunted.

John is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sylvia H. McCann; two sons, Brent McCann and wife Tudy, and Matt McCann and wife Jami; daughter, Amy McCann Sproles and husband Ronnie; six grandchildren, Kalyn Wilson, Brenna McCann, Karly Wilson, Ben Souther, Mason McCann, and Ruth McCann; brother, Glenn McCann, Jr. and wife Loraine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn McCann, Sr. and Marie McCann.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, August, 15, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Jim Gross.
