Joann Rushing

Joann C. Rushing, 85 years old, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on December 7, 2017. She entered this world on November 14, 1932 born to J.W. and Lurline Cheek in South Carolina.

Joann is survived by three daughters, Emily and Tommy Mason of Baton Rouge, Sara Rushing of Baton Rouge and Nancy Rushing of Addis; one son, Christopher Romines of Texas; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Joann is preceded in death by parents, J.W. Cheek and Lurline Griffin Cheek and daughter, Deborah Romines.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Friday, December 15, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
