LEST WE FORGET
When does the pain stop and the teardrops go away?
I wait for that time day after day.
A heart that is filled with pain may overflow for years.
You see it takes a while to empty all the tears.
How long before my heart is rung dry And when will I no longer grieve and cry?
Just when you think they're all gone,
You find yourself all alone.
Once again the memories begin to flow
And with them come those tears, don't you know.
Though God gives grace to see us through, He knows we need these tear drops too.
But don't you fret,
For He brings these memories to us, lest we forget.
