James Beasley

April 28, 1962 — November 26, 2025

James Beasley

James Timothy Beasley, Sr., Beloved husband, father and grandfather, was called back to his heavenly home November 26,2025 after fighting a long, hard battle with brain cancer.

Born on April 28, 1962, to Agnes and Julius Beasley in Clinton, Louisiana, James carried the warmth of his Southern roots throughout his life. Being blessed with the gift of southern hospitality, James was always serving someone. He had a Christ-like heart and tried to serve anyone and everyone he saw who needed help. He was a great example to his children and others of giving and serving those in need.

He was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. For many years one of his favorite things to do was attend Family Home Evening every Monday night at his parent's home playing with the kids and building strong relationships and family bonds.

James worked in the family business for years. He learned much about business, leadership, and work ethics from his father. He worked for Marriott and Crothall Healthcare for over 25 years in senior leadership positions where he had earned respect from his peers. He played a pivotal role in growing the business in many hospitals around the country.

James was blessed to live in many places and developed many lifelong friendships from across the land, but family and home were at the heart of all he did. James loved his children dearly. You could usually find him in any recliner with a grand baby on his lap. He found great joy in rocking and playing with his kids and grandkids. He had a special "nickname" for each child and grandchild. Every time a new baby was born into the family, all the kids would wonder what nickname is "Pawpaw" going to give this baby? Pawpaw's nicknames were fun and special to each individual child.

James is survived by his loving wife, Melinda Mathews Beasley; his children, Brittany Seville Busk (Ryan), James Timothy Beasley Jr., Brooke Cherie Galindo (Michael), Jared Matthew Beasley (Samantha), Bronwyn Nicole Dance (Zachary), Jessica Elisabeth Moncrief (Michael), and Ronnie Jay Johnson (Ashleigh); 28 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren; his brothers, Bruce Allen Beasley (Ann) and David Michael Beasley (Linda); his sisters, Linda Gail Brashear (Bobby), Barbara Ann Davis (Scooter), and Darlene Rene Ritchey (Rodney); and a host of nieces and nephews.

James is preceded in death by his father, Julius Lavirl Beasley, mother, Agnes Lucille Eldridge Beasley, son Jeremy Bryan Beasley, brothers, Jerry Wayne Beasley and Donnie Ray Beasley; nephews, Joey Brashear, Brian Beasley and Jory Thaxton

James leaves a legacy of love and laughter, diligence and service, kindness and faith. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Serving as pall bears will be James Beasley Jr., Jared Beasley, Jay Johnson, Michael Moncrief, Stetson Busk, Wyatt Busk, Jeremy Beasley, Glen King and Craig Oats.
