Helen Richard

Helen Jane Vidrine Richard, 86, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Helen was born on January 13, 1931 in Washington, LA to Ladie and Lillie Vidrine, and passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in loving hands at Golden Age Nursing Home, Denham Springs. She was a homemaker a resident of Baker and a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Monday, March 20, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. The graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington, LA.

Helen is survived by her children, Michael Kenneth Richard and wife Cathy Watson Richard, Bill Richard, and Patti Richard Smith and husband Terry; 11 grandchildren, Nicki Richard Dixon, C. Brian Richard III, Kelly Richard Briggs, Chad Richard, Kaylee Richard, Chase Richard, Eric Richard, Tyler Rudolph, Eric Smith, Jason Smith, and Melissa Smith; and 13 great grandchildren, Willie Briggs, Molly Briggs, Daisy Dixon, Dove Dixon, Addison McKey, Alex Kate Loftstrom, Madison Holden, Kaitlyn Brown, Madison Brown, Evelyn Brown, Nicholas Brown, Jayden Smith, and Riley Smith.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Goldman Richard, Sr.; her parents; and five siblings, Herman Vidrine, Kurtley Vidrine, Joseph Vidrine, Uella Marie Boone, and Mary Oline Stephens.

Helen was an angel on earth who lived for her family. She will be so dearly missed.
