Glenn Mccann, Sr

Glenn Elver McCann, Sr., age 94, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Louisiana War Veterans Home.

Glenn was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of Baker Masonic Lodge No 441 for 56 years, The American Legion for 28 years, and Knights Templar Eye Foundation-Lifetime Sponsor.

Glenn is survived by his sons, Glenn E. McCann, Jr. (wife Lorriane) and John E. McCann (wife Sylvia); 5 grandchildren, Austin B. McCann (wife Mathilde), Mathew G. McCann (wife Jami), Amelia E. Sproles (husband Ronnie), Melissa E. McCann, and Glenn E. McCann III; 6 great grandchildren, Kalyn E. Wilson, Karly R. Wilson, Brenna L. McCann, Walter B. Souther, Ruth A. McCann, and Mason G. McCann; and sister, Eula Mae Bearb (husband Dallas).

Glenn is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Bacon McCann; parents, Austin and Alice McCann; and 7 brothers and sisters.

Family request visiting hours to be observed on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd. Baker, LA. Visiting hours will resume on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 8am to 10am. A Funeral Service will be held at 10am in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker,LA.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Louisiana War Veterans home for the excellent care they provided Mr. Glenn.
