Frances Nelson

Frances Rae Nelson, 93 years old, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on October 12, 1927, born to Marie and Ellie Miller, in Mount Hermon, LA. She was a member of Feliciana Baptist Church.

Frances is survived by her son, Rodney Boyd, Sr. (Liz); daughters, Sharon Rogillio (David) and Donna Cutrer; stepchildren, Jarrel Nelson, Robert Nelson (Sandy), Linda Rivette, Malcolm Smith (Lydia), and Wanda Templeton (Mike); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Frances is preceded in death by the father of her children, Willie Boyd; her 2nd husband of 50 years, Jesse Nelson; 3rd husband, Chance Smith; parents, Ellie and Marie Miller; and her stepson, Ray Nelson.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandson-in-laws.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, Wednesday, August 11, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Tony Hand. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
