Be not burdened with times of sorrow; I wish you sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted me now; He set me free.

Ola Fay Hollis, 70 years old, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was born on November 24, 1947, in Texarkana, AR. She married the love of her life, James Lee Hollis on June 3, 1964, and over the course of their marriage they raised three children. Fay will be best remembered for the love and care she bestowed on those around her. She was a devoted wife, affectionate mother, adoring grandmother, great grandmother and a loyal friend to many. She held a deep love for the Lord which shown through her love of her family and life itself.

Fay will be greatly missed by her son, James Hollis and wife, Kim, of Indianapolis; two daughters, Shelley Hollis Chaney of Baton Rouge; Stacey Hollis Ballard and husband, Sean, of Pride. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, David Chaney (Michelle Randazzo), Sean Chaney, Rebecca Goltz and husband Joey, Jacob Parker (Victoria Whiddon), Matilyn Laird, Ashton Peltier and husband Drake, Brennan Ballard and Kayla Ballard; two great-grandchildren, Emalynn Goltz and Elijah Goltz; sisters, Marsha Mayo and Chyvonne Powers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Fay is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, James Lee Hollis; her parents, Jessie Lee and Helen Steward Stewart; and her beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Tollye Henson Hollis; brother, John Wayne "Buddy" Traylor; and sister, Jeanie Cain.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Louisiana, on Monday, March 19, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. The graveside service and burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
