Erwin P. Sutton, Sr.

Erwin P. Sutton, Sr., 83, a resident of Pride, and a former longtime resident of Baker, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Baker, and Northeast Masonic Lodge. He was retired from Sunbeam Bakery, and was self-employed.

Erwin is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois Summers Sutton; daughter, Donna Perkins Freeman; sister, Geraldine Grant; brother, H.D. Sutton; six grandchildren, Kim, Christopher, Katie, Rachel, Tyler, and Sarah; and seven great-grandchildren, Skiilyn, Arianna, Connor, Savannah, Paisley, Jaxon, and Taylor.

He was preceded in death by children, Brenda Darlene Sutton, Erwin Sutton, Jr., and Deborah Sutton Hand; son-in-law, Billy L. Perkins; parents, Rev. Henry C. and Blanche Sutton; and two brothers.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, January 14, from 5-8pm, and on Friday, January 15, from noon until religious services in the chapel at 2:00pm, conducted by Rev. George Threeton.

Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
