Elsie Mott Zachary
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother, Elsie went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 10:56am. She was 89, and a native and resident of Baton Rouge. She was a retired East Baton Rouge School Bus Driver, and a World War II Navy Wave.
Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, October 27, 10am until religious services in the chapel at noon. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Elsie is survived by two sons and daughtersinlaw, Steve and Fay Zachary of Ethel, LA and Darryl and Vicki Zachary of Baton Rouge two daughters and sonsinlaw, Kim and Van Morgan of Clinton, LA, and Fabian and Bailey Adams of Zachary, LA ten grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Shane, and Tyler Zachary, Courtney Delaney, Heath Gridley, Lauren Cmiel Brittany Weilbacher, Tara King, and Jacob Morgan and 13 greatgrandchildren.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jacob Mott and Bertha Treen Mott husband JB Zachary and four sisters, Alice Thomason, Tommie Plovanich, Elizabeth Smith, and Louise Bannister.
Pallbearers will be Heath Gridley, Jonathan Zachary, Shane Zachary, Tyler Zachary, Adam King, and Gerald Flowers. Honorary pallbearers are Benny King, Jacob Morgan, and Johnny Callender.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brownfields Baptist Church.
