Dixie Pourciau

Dixie Ann Nugent Pourciau, 81 years old, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 12, 2022. She entered this world on July 11, 1940, born to Susie Mercer Nugent and Albert Nugent, in Jigger, Louisiana. She was a strong Christian lady and had a love for Southern Gospel Music. She loved her family and spending time with them.

Dixie is survived by her daughter, Mimi Vidrine and husband, Terry; son, Bruce Pourciau, Jr.; stepson, Michael Hoobler and wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Tanis Granier and wife, Alison, Chance Vidrine, and Landon Vidrine; step-grandchildren, Mike Hoobler and Bryan Hoobler; great-grandchildren, Rori Granier, Peyton Granier, and Falon Granier; sisters, Carolyn Roberts and husband, Sam and Catrina Dennison and husband, Coty; brother, Ronnie Nugent and wife, Billie; and a host of nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

Dixie is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Pourciau, Sr.; father, Albert Nugent; mother, Susie Nugent; and brothers, Billy Nugent and Phil Nugent.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 1:00 PM until the Graveside Service at 2:00 PM, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, LA.
