It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Danny Lester Beck; a father, grandfather, great grandfather, beloved friend, and dedicated law enforcement officer, who departed this life on September 6, 2025, in Pride, Louisiana. Born on August 27, 1946, in Alexandria, Louisiana, Danny lived a life marked by service, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his community. Danny served for over 33 years with the Baker Police Department, where he was committed to law enforcement and public service. He was promoted to Captain and faithfully served his community until his retirement in 2009. As a man of faith, he was raised in the Baptist Church. He cherished moments spent fishing and riding his Harley Davidson with friends, working on his classic cars and embracing the beauty of life's simple pleasures. A true sports enthusiast, he found great joy in cheering for LSU and the Saints . Danny is survived by his beloved daughters, Melissa "Missy" Strahan Montgomery (Barry), Melinda "Mindy" Beck Smith and son, Damon Beck; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Janice Acheson (Keith).
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Beck and Marguerite Cory Beck; his brother, Richard Beck, his wife, Anita, and son-in-law, James "Jim" Strahan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Damon Beck, Beaux Beck, Andrew Strahan and Barry Montgomery
Relatives and Friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on, Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. Family, friends, and all who shared in Danny's life are invited to pay their respects and join in honoring his life and legacy. Danny will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Pineville, LA.
Though Danny's life on Earth is over, the relationships he built and the legacy he leaves behind, will be felt by the lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
