Curris Castille

In Loving Memory of Curris Joseph Castille
November 10, 1934 - January 21, 2026

Curris Joseph Castille, a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was called home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 21, 2026. He passed away at the age of 91, surrounded by the warmth and presence of the family he so dearly loved.

Curris entered this world on November 10, 1934, in the quiet town of Port Barre, Louisiana, born to the late Adelous and Donathile Castille. His life was defined by a steadfast commitment to his values and a strong work ethic. For many years, he served as the Chief Security Officer at the Baton Rouge Country Club, where he was known for his professional integrity and his ability to command respect with a kind word.

A man of unwavering faith, Curris was a dedicated parishioner of St. Isidore Catholic Church. His relationship with God was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him through his ninety-one years with grace and humility.

While Curris found pride in his work and peace in his faith, his greatest joy was found in the simple pleasures of life. He had a profound love for his heritage, often found listening to the lively rhythms of Cajun music that reminded him of his roots. However, nothing compared to the time spent with his family. Whether at a large gathering or a quiet visit, Curris was happiest when surrounded by the generations he helped build.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23

Curris is survived by two daughters, Tammy Boudreaux of Denham Springs and Christine Lowe (Joseph) of Central; one son, Mickey Castille (Deborah) of Dahlonega, Georgia; three grandchildren; Christopher Boudreaux, Nicholas Lowe and Ashley Lowe Medford; six great-grandchildren, Ella, Stevie and Raelynn Boudreaux and Ava, Cayden and Gavin Lowe; sister, Eula Lewis and a host of nieces and nephews.

Curris is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Doucet Castille; son, Rene' Castille; parents Donathile Fontenot Castille and Adelous Castille; brothers, Lambert, Vorris, Lawrence, JC, and Albert Castille; and sister, Shirley Castille Coates.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker LA on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the Rosary with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 AM.
